So, you would think that there would be a vast amount of
differences between these two places/times of someone’s life and what comes
along with them. Well, I’d agree, but I
still think that there aren’t enough differences.
I think that the petty drama and gossip that takes place in high
school, should end after high school ends.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t.
Especially at such a small college like North Central. I also think that social media sites, such as
Facebook, antagonize these situations.
People are able to communicate much more quickly with many more people
through social media sites, so rumors spread much faster. The gossip can travel and cause more of a
threat to people because of the technology we all have access to.
I found a very opinionated article that takes a quick glance and
these types of situations and relates them to high school and college level
students. I thought it was very
interesting, and quite relevant to what I was personally questioning myself.
These types of situations make me think of a lot of
questions. Why do people take time out
of their days to do such things? There
seems to be so many psychological aspects to this that I think would make great
topics for investigation. However, that
shall be a topic for another post.
