Photography,
can be looked at as a technology that allows us to capture those pictures as
they look in real life. For example,
newer cameras have an application in them that allows users to take panoramic
shots.
I
don’t think that this topic necessarily directly relates to communication, but
when looking at it from a different perspective, that through this form of
media, I think it can. I know I
mentioned it earlier, but “A picture is worth a thousand words” – Napoleon
Bonaparte. This quote exemplifies how pictures
definitely evoke a reaction in people, and photographers try to convey certain
aspects in their work in order to do just that.
Personally,
I know that when I’m going through old pictures with friends, we always get
very emotional. Photography is one of my
favorite hobbies, and I’m very grateful to have access to such a wonderful form
of technology that can help me be able to express myself in a different and
enjoyable way.
Here
are some pictures of various spots on campus that I’ve taken interest in:
I
love taking pictures of nature, and am always inspired when I see professional
photographs of it.
I
also mentioned how, when I look back at pictures of my friends and I, we can
get very emotional. These pictures are a
few examples of this.
Everytime
we look at these, there are so many things that we could talk about.
It’s
also important to give credit to new media technologies, such as Picnik online,
which allow people to edit their pictures.
They are actually going to be joining Google very soon and are shutting down their site. These new types of technology have transformed so many different types
of media, and this is just one more example.
